BUSY-NESS

Posted on 2008.02.26 at 21:01
Been busy moving from the back room to my new office space. I have been sorting out my TON OF CRAP, which included such critically important things like documents and thank you notes from customers and bosses in 1982. Right, because I still might need to prove how good I was at Biomedical Field Service Engineering.

We also made the trek to IKEA this past weekend to buy beds and other such furnishings. After much some-assembly-required time, the Nelsonnettes now have their own rooms and are very excited. But it has been a huge amount of work.

Oh, and we're almost finished with our taxes. Gak!

I have written a grand total of about 813 words on my current WIP. But I am almost finished with my new office digs. Now, there is just that little matter of the sewing/craft room to deal with. ::sigh::

Does the pack-rat label offend me? Nope. 'Cause if the shoe fits, I'm sure as hell not going to throw it away!

I love that! I can say the same thing for the shoe whore label that is applied to me!
:-P

1982? Now that is seriously retentive. Even for shoes. Shoes I can understand, even if I only own two pairs of trainers myself - must get some more - but paperwork? We only had to keep it for ten years when I was working in a bank!

Good luck.

It gets better. I also found an entire manila envelope full of paperwork from my time in the Navy. And while I firmly believe in the imoportance of CYA that was drilled into me during my military service, I received my honorable discharge in 1981. So even though I haven't gone through this stuff in fifteen years, I could have dispensed with those papers eons ago!

Whirr whirr whirr go the blades on the shredder. If you kept chickens you could keep them in bedding more months, or rabbits, or hamsters. Wouldn't recommend it with guinea pigs. Definitely not guinea pigs.

True! It makes great bedding for leftovers, too. (I have a snake that doesn't always finish his dinner.)
